Dr. Manoj Shah
Dr. Shah is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and completed his post-graduate training at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He has lived in Warner Robins since 1985 and his three children were educated in Houston County school system. He is very active in the community and sponsors 33 teacher awards every year, and the Science Fair.
Dr. Shah made a history as the first physician of the Houston County to serve as the President of the Medical Association of Georgia. His special interests are urinary incontinence, uterovaginal prolapse, cystocele, rectocele, menopausal symptoms, laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, and infertility.
Dr. Thekkepat Sekhar
Dr. Sekhar is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been in practice here at Physicians for Women since August 2001. He completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois and his Fellowship in Pelvic Surgery also at St. Francis Hospital.
Dr. Vijaya Vella
Dr. Vella is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her Internship and Residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Vella skillfully takes care of women throughout their lifetime; she is particularly adept at management of high risk pregnancies, surgical and non surgical management of utero-vaginal prolapse, and minimally invasive techniques for performance of hysterectomy.
Dr. Sarah Stanescu
Dr. Stanescu completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She joined Physicians for Women in August 2017, and she welcomed her first son, Felix, in June 2018.
Dr. Stanescu believes in empowering women in their own care. She has particular interests in contraceptive counseling, PCOS, abnormal bleeding, and evidence based labor management.
Holly Cross, CNM
Holly has a Master’s degree in Nursing Science from Frontier Nursing University and is certified in midwifery by the American College of Nurse Midwives. She approaches women’s health care with the philosophy of prevention, education, and working with the client to meet her health care needs throughout the seasons of life.
Holly empowers and partners with women to create the birth experience they desire, whether it be natural birth or with the use of an epidural. She will provide full scope midwifery care including prenatal visits and education, bedside natural labor support, breastfeeding education and support, postpartum care, annual exams, contraception, and gynecological care.
She enjoys getting to know her clients and is zealous about providing compassionate evidenced based services to women of all ages
Cindy Foster, CNM
Cindy Foster graduated with honors from Frontier Nursing University with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. She received her certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board. She is also a member of the Georgia Association of Certified Nurse Midwives and the American College of Certified Nurse Midwives. She is happily married and has three daughters.
Cindy strongly believes in the philosophy of patient-centered evidence based care and assisting each woman to have the labor and birth experience she desires. She enjoys providing compassionate individualized care with an emphasis on pregnancy, childbirth, annual exams, and contraceptive counseling. She also provides full scope midwifery services including natural labor support and waterbirth
